LOS ANGELES - Freshman Alex Jupiter (Hermosa Beach/Redondo Union HS) had a match-high 14 kills, posting a .419 evening (14-1-31) as the No. 7 USC Women of Troy swept the Hofstra Pride, 3-0 (25-17, 25-22, 25-17), in day two action at the 2008 Holiday Inn LA City Center Trojan Invitational. Jupiter added two service aces, one assists, one dig and two blocks in the match. She recorded double digits in kills for her fourth straight match and has a 4.43 kills-per-set average so far while hitting .303 on the season.... read more
