No. 7 USC Wins Home Tournament With 3-0 Sweep Against No. 21 San Diego

LOS ANGELES - Freshman outside hitter Alex Jupiter (Hermosa Beach/Redondo Union HS) registered 15 kills and 19.5 points Saturday as the No. 7 USC Women of Troy swept the No. 21 San Diego Toreros, 3-0 (26-24, 25-17, 25-17), to win the 2008 Holiday Inn LA City Center Trojan Invitational. For her efforts, Jupiter was named tournament most valuable player after leading the Women of Troy in kills for all three matches.
