Ok, So I live in the Inland Empire in Southern California and I want transfer to major in architecture. So far my choices for a Bachelors are in these universities (that are accredited by the NAAB): California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo * California State Polytechnic University, Pomona * California College of the Arts NewSchool of Architecture and Design Southern California Institute of Architecture University of Southern California Woodbury University The ones with an asterik are my top choices in that order. However, today a transfer counselor who was at an Honor's Orientations I attended in my community college told me that I should try to have 4 options with one being around my local area. Although Cal Poly San Luis Obispo is my most sought after choice, Cal Poly Pomona is in my local area. And as much as I would love to go to USC, its way to expensive from what I've heard. The rest seem as if they arent well known, so I dont know about them. What should I do? Should I stick with the Cal Poly's or should I start looking into school outside of CA. Iam so confused. I have to admit that I too am starting to think that my chance are low. I did join and am currently in the Honors Program at my college, and in the Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society for two year colleges. I have no volunteer or work experience so I hope to get that soon. My GPA so far is a 3.64. I am so confused. I feel like I wont be able to go anywhere. When they ask for a porfolio, do they mean examples of how you draw or a portfolio with all you shool records?...
